Cambie Star

This 8-storey development is located directly above the existing Canada Line King Edward Station.  The vibrant colour palette, inspired by traffic and street lights, is a gesture to Cambie Street as a busy north-south thoroughfare.

The existing transit station was originally designed to support three levels of wood framed construction above.  To resolve this structural limitation and allow additional building height befitting of a transit node, floor slabs above the station are cantilevered from the building’s concrete core. No structural elements bear on the Station and no structural supports were added within the Station. The Station remained open and operational throughout construction.

The development is targeting LEED® Gold certification.
