Granville & Nelson

Located on Vancouver’s entertainment strip and crossed by a busy thoroughfare, this two storey commercial project was designed to make a statement at the corner.  The primary facades use brick veneer cladding and exposed steel frame window detailing to anchor the building facades.

In order to draw more attention than just the storefronts could do on their own and create a local landmark, a second floor diffused glass light box sets the corner aglow in the evenings with a multi-colour light display animating the building with its presence on a street where competition for visual stimulus ranks high. The LED lighting effects are computer controlled with programming of the fixtures a changeable feature.
